Wanderers Football Club

Wanderers FC were founded in 1859 as Forest Club by Charles and John Alcock. In 1863, the club attended the first meeting of the FA and in 1870, Charles proposed the creation of the FA Cup. They lifted the cup in 1872, 1873, 1876, 1877 and 1878. However, just 9 years later, Wanderers thought they had played their last match. In 2009, with the endorsement of the Alcock family, Wanderers were reformed. Wanderers have grown to three teams, weekly training sessions, a casual kickabout, an overseas tour, and a new home pitch created by the club in Upper Norwood, London.
