Diapoint is the place for people touched by Diabetes.
It was created by Pamela Durant, the mother of a child with Type 1 Diabetes. Prior to her
son’s diagnosis when he was 20-months old. She had over 20 years of experience in hospital
and clinic management, with a focus on strategy and quality. Despite all her healthcare
experience, she had no real understanding of the challenges, gaps and stigma that her son
and others with diabetes face daily.
Diapoint’s Mission is, To share knowledge and connect people to improve the quality of life
of people with diabetes and those who love them. The Diapoint philosophy is a focus on
community, and learning to embrace diabetes, primarily through wellness, to live life to the
fullest despite the condition.
Diapoint does this by providing education, services, a support network, advocacy and
products that support people with diabetes
