AHPO

The Association of Health Professions in Ophthalmology is a charitable company that promotes education and training for staff who provide treatment and care for patients with eye diseases. Accredited training programmes have not been available for the majority of staff who undertake ophthalmic tests and investigations in eye clinics and hospitals. We sought and failed to find a further or higher education institution willing to provide this training. In 2017 we made a successful application to become a registered Apprenticeship Training Provider and Pearson-recognised Training Centre, and we can now deliver apprenticeships in England, and BTEC Diplomas throughout the UK.
