As a graduate from the University of Illinois with a Doctor of Pharmacy degree, achieved in 2000, Adesh has applied his in-depth knowledge and skillset to various start-ups throughout his career. He is a huge advocate of the Canadian healthcare system and wholeheartedly believes all Canadians should have equal access to modern healthcare, including the newest medicines. Since the firm’s initial inception in 2013, Adesh has successfully grown the company from just one specialty pharmacy into a national, comprehensive healthcare service provider. He is process-driven and has the technical knowledge to deliver on set mandates through innovative processes, technology, and analytics and, as such, he has played a key role in developing innovative and integrated healthcare solutions that enhance patient outcomes and accessibility to care. He equally strives to continue driving the profession of pharmacy and the role of a pharmacist, while simultaneously inspiring other pharmacists to innovate. Currently, Adesh serves on the board of directors of the Neighbourhood Pharmacy Association of Canada, and as President of the board of Seva International Charitable Foundation. He has also completed alumni programmes at Harvard Business School, as well as at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology Sloan School of Management. “With more than 125 clinics and 250 nurses across the country, SRx Clinics has helped improve the lives of hundreds of thousands of Canadians since opening its doors 11 years ago,” Adesh enthuses. “Our highly trained nursing teams are part of the Omega Specialty Nurses network and consist of RNs and LPNs/RPNs who are dedicated to providing patients with the highest level of care.” All medical professional at SRx are BCLS certified, in good standing with their governing body, and have the critical care experience to react swiftly and effectively in the event of an emergency.
