Treating the cause and not just the symptoms typically leads to better patient understanding, a stronger commitment to treatment prescription, faster and often permanent improvements, and a painfree life.” Throughout her career, Nora focused largely on orthopaedic spine therapy - a physical therapy treatment for patients with spine-related conditions such as scoliosis, kyphosis, herniated discs, sciatica, and others relating to structural changes to the spine, disc, or tissue. Although symptoms vary from case to case, back or neck pain is a common result of these disorders. To this end, Nora developed a non-surgical treatment that combines spinal/pelvic movements and breathing techniques to improve patients’ muscular alignment, balance, flexibility, strength, and postural aesthetics. Today, the expert team of specialists at NorAlign still deliver several effective methods of therapy, such as the ‘Schroth Method’ and the ‘Rigo Concept’. NorAlign also utilises pilates in its clinical form, which differs from the modern definition of gym pilates. “If patients are in pain, the team will address this symptom first with physiotherapy techniques such as manual therapy, soft tissue therapy, mobilisations, hooking, and taping,” elaborates Warren. “Once the pain has been reduced, the team can begin focusing on stimulating the muscles, joints, and spine.” By collaborating with Intus Bioscience, a revolutionary microbiome research, discovery, and testing company, NorAlign provides patients with an accurate and thorough picture of their unique gut microbiome.
