GHP Q3 2024

16 GHP Q3 2024 London-based Ink Illusions is a medical and cosmetic tattoo clinic on a mission to transform lives through instilling confidence in its clients by delivering high quality treatments. The clinic was founded in 2018 by Zena Bratcher, who has witnessed the miracle of medical tattooing firsthand. Below, we catch up with Zena to learn more, as Ink Illusions is named the Best Medical and Cosmetic Tattoo Clinic in the 2024 Global Excellence Awards. Zena founded Ink Illusions in 2018, driven by a passion for changing the lives of those around her. With extensive experience in the industry across multiple mediums, Zena was amazed at how medical tattooing can transform lives and bring back their confidence. The clinic specialises in medical tattooing for scalp micropigmentation, scars and stretch marks, areola tattooing following breast surgery, laser tattoo, PMU and pigmentation removal, and intense pulsed light for skin rejuvenation and hair removal. Ultimately, Ink Illusions aims to provide clients with a safe space in which they can address their body insecurities and leave feeling better about themselves. Ink Illusions is always looking to develop and improve upon existing protocols for its life-changing treatments, aiming to be at the cutting-edge of industry developments to ensure that clients are always receiving the highest possible standard of service. The clinic was the first in Europe to introduce techniques from the USA and Brazil for Stretch Mark Tattoo Camouflage and is the only clinic to teach a combination of those techniques alongside traditional methods in the UK. “These techniques have been hugely developed to make them both safer and more effective,” says Zena. “Our consistent level of results proves that what we are doing is different to any other clinic in the UK. We have also gone against the grain of those who have said that stretch marks should not be tattooed – an opinion that only comes from lack of skill and current knowledge.” Zena tells us that Ink Illusions’ most popular service is its Stretch Mark Revision, which is done through a combination of the MCA Inkless Needling and Skin Tone Tattoo Camouflage techniques. The use of MCA Inkless Needling aims to promote healing within the skin, to smooth, shrink, and flatten scars or stretchmarks while also bringing back natural pigmentation. Skin Tone Tattoo Camouflaging is the technique of tattooing over the skin using skin tone ink to camouflage scars or stretchmarks. “In cases where we have managed to improve the texture, but not enough melanin has been stimulated, we can then custom blend a skin tone colour to take away whiteness,” Zena explains. “Our clients get back their confidence and it is truly life changing in many cases.” This treatment is so popular that Ink Illusions has featured in a Metro article detailing one client’s success story, and the clinic boasts numerous reviews testifying to the efficacy, professionalism, and personability displayed during their treatments. “If you’re thinking about having this done, do it now,” writes one happy client. “What a fantastic experience and what a fantastic job! Zena is very professional, very detailed, and she wasn’t in any rush. After the first session, I couldn’t wait for the rest. I am so happy with what she has achieved. Don’t wait, get it done now.” “I am so happy and pleased with the service I’ve received from Ink Illusions,” says another. “Zena is so professional and has a great deal of knowledge about skin. She transformed and camouflaged my burn scar using the inkless needling method. I am so grateful and satisfied with the service that was provided to me. Communication was easy, access was easy, and the method worked out very well for me. I definitely recommend their services! Ink Illusions is providing an unbelievable service to the UK.” Going forward, Ink Illusions plans to continue its mission of enhancing the lives of individuals by helping them regain their confidence. Zena tells us that the clinic has new products in the works to be released this year. This will be in addition to its own serum, INKLESS, which is used with MCA inkless needling treatments. “We are currently developing some very exciting products which include our own ink colours for custom blending skin tones, as well as aftercare products,” Zena announces. “Our own pigment line will be released in 2024, which will have some unique properties that no other company has done yet. We are also in the process of becoming an OfQual regulated training centre.” If you are interested in the transformative treatments offered by Ink Illusions, you can visit the clinic’s website to learn more.
