GHP Q2 2021

4 GHP / Q2 2021 NEWS , Leading independent property, construction and infrastructure consultancy Pick Everard has enhanced its support of healthcare services in the UK through a partnership model with the Florence Nightingale Foundation – affording the charitable organisation with compliant procurement paths for its all-important work. The Florence Nightingale Foundation is a not-for-profit organisation with a principal focus on improving health, clinical outcomes and patient experience through scholarships to build nursing and midwifery leadership capacity and capability. It does this by enabling nurses, midwives and other health professionals to access sophisticated and bespoke leadership development opportunities tailored to the scholar’s needs, both in the UK and overseas. In order to support the charitable organisation, Pick Everard affords the Florence Nightingale Foundation access to a NHS Shared Business Services (NHS SBS) framework through a partnership model. Partner Alastair Hamilton said: “We’re really proud to be going above and beyond standard project delivery to support the healthcare service in the UK, which is even more important than ever following the past year. “With the fixed nature of frameworks in the industry, this model allows us to afford organisations like the Florence Nightingale Foundation access to the services they need and navigate any red tape in the procurement process in a compliant manner via framework agreements. Our ongoing appointment and relationship with NHS SBS is one that we are very proud of within the firm, and we’re really pleased to use this relationship to support both the NHS and another charitable organisation.” Partnership Provides Procurement Path to Healthcare Foundation Professor Gemma Stacey, Director of the Florence Nightingale Foundation Academy, said: “We were initially introduced to the team via contacts within the NHS SBS framework team and really value this working relationship, which allows us entry to framework commissions we wouldn’t otherwise get access to. “The immediate requirement at the outset of our work together was to provide work related to our Windrush Leadership Programme, which was a partnership with Health Education England. This was a career development programme offered to 44 band 5, 6, and 7 nurses and midwives who were either descendants from the Windrush generation or from a diverse background within the NHS in England. “Pick Everard has an excellent reputation for both its healthcare and framework expertise, so we’re really looking forward to continuing our relationship with the firm, using its expert knowledge to facilitate the procurement we require moving forwards.” Pick Everard is one of the approved suppliers on the NHS Shared Business Services (NHS SBS) Consult 18 framework, which is a vehicle that provides business support services to the NHS and public sector across the country. Pick Everard delivers a number of services for three lots including: strategy development, management support, capital asset delivery, complex projects and change management. Pick Everard employs more than 500 staff across its 13 offices, providing a range of project, cost, and design consultancy services. For more information, please visit www.pickeverard.co.uk
