International Life Sciences Awards 2024

11 GHP International Life Sciences Awards 2024 roudly standing as a ‘new level of mental health’, MP4P – Mental Practice for Performance – is an access point primarily designed to introduce adolescents to thoughtful, ‘middle ground’ counselling. Led by the brilliant Scott Rohlwing, it identifies the needs those who, while not necessarily unwell, are in need of a qualified individual to guide them through their mental tribulations. Scott promises to be this guide. Viewing his work as ‘mental alignment’, Scott implements a variety of disciplines to assist those who are desperately trying to find their feet through puberty. Through coaching, counselling, and mentoring, Scott focuses his attention on what he believes to be a very misunderstood and underserved age demographic. Many adults will be quick to chalk an adolescent’s behaviour up to spiralling hormones and teenage angst, often times stripping them of the validation they deserve in this uncertain period of life. Scott, however, understands what they are going through, and offers an educated helping hand to teens who just need additional guidance. Whether his methods are helping to elevate relationships, improve communications, or enhance an adolescent’s career development opportunities in the future, Scott is determined to introduce teens to the best version of themselves. Specifically, Scott treads the landscape of Cognitive Behaviour Analysis. As a specialist in brain behaviour, he consistently highlights the importance of active thinking, encouraging youths to identify the agency they have over their thoughts, and further choose to think better. In doing so, they will often find themselves discovering new opportunities, immersing themselves in the world in a more meaningful way, and ultimately taking control of their lives in a holistic manner. In short, Scott places the focus on ‘doing’ as opposed to being influenced by previous life experiences. Our lives are shaped by our own hands, and Scott is a man who has built his practises off of this very sentiment. Throughout his journey as a behaviour analyst, Scott has encountered a variety of events that have reworked how he operates in his field. Together, these experiences have allowed him to cultivate an environment in which clients benefit from far more than his expertise alone. Scott actively builds upon his broad skillset with each client, imbuing his methods with a sense of continuous learning that he is always eager to bestow upon clients. Whether this manifests through his explorational approaches, or the avid engagement he shares with his clients, Scott transcends limits to bring a new approach to the art of counselling. ‘Mental health is a spectrum’. This is a sentiment that, for years, has echoed across the psychology landscape. Many counsellors, therapists, and behaviour analysts are acutely aware of this distinct truth, but how does one proceed to integrate it into their practises? Often times, the result pivots between two ends of said spectrum. Services either cater to those with significant psychological needs, or those who are mentally well. As for the middle ground – it has gone relatively untouched. That is, however, until MP4P’s Scott Rohlwing took it upon himself to elicit change. Below, we venture into how Scott revives the notion of mental health as a spectrum. Adolescent Behavior Analyst of the Year 2024 (USA): Scott Rohlwing From the moment Scott decided he wanted to pursue his desire to help adolescents through their complicated mental health journeys, he has aways remained true and authentic. Only by being realistic – and having an assortment of struggles and failures himself – was he able to cultivate a conduit for change, and MP4P now stands as a beacon of hope for any experiencing strife. Scott Rohlwing has concocted a tangible approach to mental coaching, and, as a result of his genuine desire to help people get better, we believe nobody is more deserving of the title of Adolescent Behavior Analyst of the Year 2024 (USA) as him.
