Recently, we caught up with Ben Paglia who kindly tells us a little bit more about the firmand its award-winning services. They are now in their third season as our clients and we continue to build our football client portfolio each month.” The Covid-19 pandemic has offered the healthcare sector new challenges and opportunities, as Ben embellishes: “Fortunately our business model was largely unaffected by the first lockdown and we have been able to help our patients much in the same ways as before, albeit with increased use of video consulting technology. “Since the beginning of the Covid-19 pandemic we have been able to shift our services to include a raft of Covid-19 solutions, from PPE and risk assessment to testing. Our testing clients include; the BBC, Sony Pictures and the Rugby Union Premier League. We also offer rapid testing services to all our existing clients and can turn results around inside four hours if needed.” The future may still be uncertain for a lot of businesses, but Ben and the team at Akea Life have a plan to ensure they can continue to keep on delivering exceptional healthcare services. “We are always looking for new and innovative approaches that complement our own model of home visits and quick response. As such we partner largely with other companies who can match our own offering. We have clinical operating systems that are cloud based and adaptive in order to work remotely and offer patients prescriptions and referrals from anywhere in the UK, similarly we offer home blood testing services, CBT and Physio therapy. “Looking ahead, we plan to continue to offer Covid-19 specific service and projects for the duration and aim to consolidate our position in sports as a preferred provider of private GP services in the UK.
