27 GHP Healthcare and Pharmaceutical Awards 2025 essential fatty acid – the first to be discovered in 90 years since Omega 3 and Omega 6. This information was published in Nature’s Scientific Reports in May 2020, and today, more than 100 studies have been published by prestigious institutions throughout the world to support C15:0’s role in supporting better health in humans, with multiple teams corroborating its status as an essential fatty acid. These peerreviewed studies are available at DiscoverC15.com. Fuelled by this research, Stephanie founded fatty15 in 2020 alongside husband Dr. Eric Venn-Watson, working together as partners and Co-CEOs. Before the establishment of fatty15, Eric worked as a US Navy Military Physician and has successfully launched and led three life science companies. Combining Eric’s invaluable experience with Stephanie’s epidemiology expertise, this dynamic pair are leading the charge in delivering impactful solutions that promise to change the world. Fatty15 is driven by doctors, scientists, and innovators, united in their shared commitment to pioneering health at the cellular level. The company leads with sustainability at its heart, offering a vegan-friendly capsule that is easier to swallow than most supplements and delivered in a reusable, refillable bottle. Of course, sustainability cannot compromise scientific benefit; the simple supplement offers more cellular benefits than leading antiaging compounds and has been shown to improve mitochondrial function by 45%. Since its inception, fatty15 has been instrumental in aiding more than 100,000 individuals around the world, who have each integrated the product as a core element of their daily fitness routine. In just five years, fatty15 has leveraged more than a decade of research to effectively establish itself as the smart, safe option for clients seeking results that can be seen and felt within months – a feat deserving of its recognition as the USA’s Best Essential Fatty Acid Supplement Brand 2025. Contact: Juliana Radich Company: fatty15 Web Address: www.fatty15.com The story of fatty15 began over two decades ago, with an unexpected link between dolphins and humans. In 2001, Veterinary Epidemiologist Dr. Stephanie Venn-Watson was invited by the US Navy to help them continually improve the health and welfare of the Navy’s dolphins through a population health programme. Between 2001 and 2011, Stephanie and the team studied dolphins that lived more than a decade longer than their wild counterparts, witnessing health conditions that included arthritis, high cholesterol, chronic inflammation, and even the full suite of Alzheimer’s disease. Through this work, Stephanie had the opportunity to work alongside dolphins that were significantly older than those found in the wild and came to an astounding conclusion: older dolphins age very similarly to older people. What’s more, they observed that some of these dolphins – all living in the same environment, with the same healthcare – were not developing these same aging-associated conditions. Now, the experts wanted to find out why. Driven by curiosity, the team utilised advanced human technologies to improve dolphin health, including metabolomics. In 2015, the team identified approximately 100 molecules that helped to predict the healthiest aging in dolphins – molecules that were also present in humans, with one of the most prominent being pentadecanoic acid, or C15:0. With this new knowledge, the team provided a diet higher in fish-based C15:0 to dolphins aging less healthily, and watched as they improved. After publishing this discovery in PLOS ONE, the team came to another unexpected conclusion: whilst they had believed the changes in the healthiest dolphins would be due to the Omega 3s present in fish, it was actually C15:0 – a saturated fat delivered most commonly to humans through whole-fat milk and butter, and one that has been gradually removed from the human diet for decades. C15:0 targets numerous hallmarks of aging: making cell membranes more resilient and resistant against age-related breakdown; improving mitochondrial function to retain energy whilst aging; lowering inflammaging; and naturally targeting and activating receptors known to regulate the immune and metabolic systems, as well as mood, sleep, and appetite. In relevant models of type 2 diabetes and fatty liver disease, C15:0 successfully reduced glucose, cholesterol, and inflammation; treated anaemia; and decreased the severity of liver disease. The team concluded that not only is C15:0 an active and beneficial saturated fat, but it also meets the rare criteria of being an As we age, we often find ourselves increasingly struggling with worsening fatigue, an imbalanced metabolism, and a growing list of internal irregularities. With such a high volumeofsupplementsandnutritionoptionsavailable, itcanbechallengingtocutthrough the noise to find the one that is right for you. Enter fatty15, a pioneering supplement solely containing C15:0, an emerging essential fatty acid renowned for strengthening cells, promoting longevity-enhancing activities, and balancing metabolism.
