25 GHP Healthcare & Pharma Awards 2022 Camen Behavioral Services began its journey as an Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) provider in May 2015 with a big dream and a passion to back it. It branched off one clinic location into four in a matter of three years, with this expansion bringing the team immense joy and allowing them to better serve the special needs population. Providing ABA therapy early in an individual’s life has shown to provide lasting quality of life improvement when compared to families that have gone without ABA or any alternative interventions. By applying ABA, Camen Behavioral Services can help its clients assess the areas in their life that need improvement or treatment in order to experience a better life. The treatment encompasses a broad range of strategies that are tailored to specific needs. From drug abuse to communication skills improvement, ABA has the right application for these issues. From the beginning, Camen Behavioral predominantly served individuals experiencing Autism Spectrum Disorder and related developmental disabilities. Its primary goal from inception has been to provide ABA therapy with compassion, with some of the skills developed including hygiene and personal care, creativity and art, communication and language, activities of daily living (ADLs), technical skills, community skills, and coping mechanisms. Camen Behavioral believes the best that any organisation can do to achieve its goals is to employ people who share its vision. These individuals are dedicated and experienced and work hard to help clients improve their behavior and quality of life. They understand the importance of behavioral healthcare in the lives of not only the individuals with disabilities and mental struggles, but also those with struggles in day-to-day living. Being a full-service ABA company, the team provides services across all settings where challenging behaviors occur such as inclinic, at home, in the community, at school, and through telehealth. They work hard to adapt to the specific needs of families with a range of programmes available in behavior analysis, verbal behavior training, extracurricular activities, winter and summer social skills programmes, social skills group, and RBT (Registered Behavior Technician) course. The team make use of research-based strategies when coming up with treatment plans for each individual, focusing on encouraging positive behaviors while reducing potentially harmful ones among people suffering impairments and disabilities. They value everyone’s equal opportunities for receiving treatment and wish to extend help to people in the local community and beyond. Camen Behavioral is currently developing strategies to significantly expand its ability to provide top tier services in the home setting, which often go underserved due to family limitations. Additionally, with its new location in Orlando and three other locations in the Orlando surrounding areas, the organisation is planning on reaching out to more potential clients that need its services. Not only this, but it also works to listen and grow from the feedback of the many families it already serves on how to best help them. Ultimately, in the last six years, the Camen Behavioral team has learnt not to let their excitement and ambitiousness get ahead of them. However, the remainder of 2022 is looking very bright with a slew of projects ahead which will further grow the brand and company, but most importantly they will enable the team to serve their clients and their families significantly better.
