Active Lifestyle Awards 2025

8 GHP Active Lifestyle Awards 2025 few years into joining his local gym as a way of alleviating his back pain, Ian Street loved it so much that he was attending four or five times a week, working on building his strength and improving his overall fitness. So great was his passion for exercise and wellness that he made the call to turn his hobby into a career. Now, nearly a decade later, Ian boasts ten qualifications relating to the field and has served clients ranging from total gym beginners through to those dealing with pain and injury. Under the banner of ‘Strength Found’, which Ian has been operating as since 2019, this leading personal trainer has been helping his clients to move and perform in a more functional capacity. This increases mobility and makes everyday life easier, particularly in cases of chronic pain and injury rehabilitation. Physical training is just the beginning of what is then a comprehensive process spanning improving nutrition habits and helping to transform a person’s mindset and their outlook on themselves. My holistic approach to training, my unique coaching style, and now having over nine years of experience all make me stand out.” The array of client challenges Ian has had to navigate over the years has resulted in him growing into a better coach, one capable of working through almost anything people have thrown at him – from personal fitness goals entailing total lifestyle shifts to rehabilitating an injury as quickly as possible in time for the start of the next sporting season. Beyond his growth in a professional setting, these experiences have helped Ian – who was historically quite shy – to grow in confidence and expression. Such development has helped Ian to further refine his style of coaching, with his clients immediately feeling more relaxed as a result of their trainer’s assurance in instruction and enthusiasm in the wake of their success. This winning combination underpins why AIM-Oct25007 A Being raised in a family of sports and fitness fanatics, Ian Street was a regular in a variety of team and individual sports during his childhood in Doncaster. However, like almost everyone at some point in their lives, Ian began suffering with lower back pain. He was only in his early 20s at the time, so seeking out a fix was imperative for Ian. Realising exercise was the key to alleviation, Ian joined a gym, in the process planting the seed for Strength Found, his award-winning personal training business. We caught up with Ian for more on this journey. Ian has been so successful, with the same able to be said of both his three-stage approach and the foundation behind it – both of which are crucial for clients looking to rebuild, move better, and ultimately get stronger through these sessions. Of course, Ian can only do so much, and whilst he brings a proven programme and 110% to the table with every client, he expects them to put in as much as they seek to get out of the experience. He explained: “Clients tend to understand very quickly that the greatest successes come from hard work, time, consistency, and really dedicating themselves to their investment to make those real, sustainable changes to their lives.” If clients match the effort Ian puts in, they will soon start to see a transformation. The feeling that comes from helping people achieve their fitness goals is something that just cannot be replicated for Ian, and this is why his aim for the next year is to change the way the business looks and operates, so that it can be available to help more people reach new heights on their wellbeing journeys. This involves pivoting to a more hybrid approach, with the online sessions that Ian will deliver in the coming months offering the same level of quality that Strength Found has come to be recognised for. Ian rounded out his comments on the business’ next steps by saying that his aim is to finish 2025 in the way he began it: strong. As he begins to realise a hybrid model for Strength Found – all the while remaining focused on pushing, progressing, and learning for the sake of both his clients and his business – it is our pleasure to recognise Ian Street as the Best Personal Trainer 2025 – Doncaster in our GHP Active Lifestyle Awards 2025.
