GHP / July 2017 29 NEWS , Adam Castleton, operations director at Startle, wanted to raise money to help fund Paediatric Cardiac research in memory of his son Finn who was born on 17th June 2015 with Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome and sadly passed away on 6th December 2015. Andy Hill, CEO at Startle, com- ments: “We are very proud at Startle to have been able to sup- port a member of the team and to have achieved something so positive that celebrates Finn’s life in such a great way. It was cer- tainly a memorable and incredibly challenging five days – as a team, we paddled through five counties, navigated 46 locks and battled a troublesome tide, but it was a de- light to see everyone get involved for such an amazing cause.” CEO Andy Hill is a serial entre- preneur and innovator. Hill was previously founder and CEO of I Like Music, the joint venture part- ner in Startle. COO Adam Castle- ton has extensive technical and operational experience, working with companies such as ITV, 3M and Western Digital. Castleton was previously Head of Digital Strategy at London and New York Digital Agency, Rawnet. Castleton adds: “Congenital Heart Defects affect around 4,000 babies every year, but thanks to critical research the number of children surviving has dramati- cally improved, with around 8 in 10 now living to adulthood. It is thanks to this pioneering medical research from the British Heart Foundation that we got to spend time with Finn and create some wonderful memories that will stay with us forever. “We can’t believe the support and response from work and industry friends who all grouped togeth- er, and we can’t say thank you enough.
